What Is a Fireplace Media Wall?
A fireplace media wall is a custom built-in feature wall that combines a fireplace, TV, soundbar, lighting, shelving, hidden wiring, and finish materials into one finished design.
In Phoenix-area homes, many modern media walls use linear electric fireplaces because they offer flexible placement, realistic flame effects, and year-round ambiance without gas venting. Gas fireplace media walls are also possible, especially when remodeling an existing fireplace or designing a larger feature wall around real flames.
The tricky part is not just making it look pretty on Pinterest. A properly designed fireplace media wall needs the right framing, fireplace clearances, electrical planning, TV height, soundbar location, ventilation, service access, and finish materials. That is why having one experienced fireplace and remodeling team matters.

One Licensed Team Handles the Whole Fireplace Media Wall Project
“Turnkey” means you are not left trying to coordinate a fireplace store, framer, electrician, TV installer, finish carpenter, and handyman. Our in-house team can plan and complete the details that make a fireplace media wall work safely, cleanly, and beautifully.
Our fireplace media wall services can include:
The result is a fireplace wall that looks custom because it is custom — planned around your room, your fireplace, your TV, your wiring, and the way you actually live.

Why Fireplace Media Walls Are Not Just a Carpentry Project
Most fireplace media wall problems happen where trades overlap. The TV ends up too high. The outlet lands in the wrong place. The soundbar wire shows. The fireplace clearance is misunderstood. The wall looks great, but the fireplace cannot be serviced later. Or the finished design does not account for heat, ventilation, wiring, or long-term access.
Our job is to think through those details before the wall is built. We look at fireplace type, wall depth, framing, heat output, electrical needs, gas line requirements, service access, TV height, soundbar placement, finish materials, lighting, and the overall scale of the room.
That planning is what separates a nice-looking wall from a media wall that works the way it should.
Electric Fireplace Media Walls vs. Gas Fireplace Media Walls
Most modern media walls use a linear electric fireplace because electric fireplaces offer flexible placement, realistic flame options, year-round ambiance, and no gas venting requirements. A linear electric fireplace is a wide, modern fireplace designed to create a clean horizontal flame view, often installed below a TV or built into a custom feature wall.
Gas fireplace media walls are also possible, especially when remodeling an existing gas fireplace or designing a larger feature wall around real flames. The right choice depends on your home, wall layout, desired flame appearance, heat needs, construction scope

One Licensed Team Handles the Whole Fireplace Media Wall Project
“Turn-key” means you are not trying to coordinate a fireplace store, framer, electrician, TV installer, finish carpenter, and handyman. Our in-house team can handle the design plan, steel or wood framing, dedicated electrical circuits, gas lines, fireplace installation, low-voltage wire concealment, TV and soundbar mounting, mood lighting, shelves, mantels, and final wall finishes.
That matters because most fireplace media wall problems happen where trades overlap. The TV ends up too high. The outlet lands in the wrong place. The soundbar wire shows. The fireplace clearance is misunderstood. Or the finished wall looks great, but the fireplace cannot be serviced later. Our job is to think through those details before the wall is built.
Electric Fireplace Media Walls vs. Gas Fireplace Remodels
Most modern media walls use a linear electric fireplace because electric models offer flexible placement, realistic flame options, year-round ambiance, and no gas venting requirements. A linear electric fireplace is a wide, modern fireplace designed to create a clean horizontal flame view, often used below a TV or built into a feature wall.
For homes with an existing gas fireplace, we can also discuss gas fireplace remodel options, gas insert upgrades, or designs that preserve the existing fireplace behind the new feature wall when appropriate. The right choice depends on your wall, your desired flame appearance, your heat needs, your budget, and how much construction you want to take on.

ABOVE: This Florence, AZ couple initially came to The Fire Place showroom looking for a bar-height style buildout with a traditional-shaped square fireplace to match their Western style. The ultimately decided on this gorgeous floor-to-ceiling design with a 48″ Montigo DelRay Full Load linear gas fireplace, ledger stone, and a distressed oak mantel with a matching shelf on the adjacent wall.
Our team handled everything from running the new gas line, installing the venting, all electrical and A/V work and all the trimmings inside and out. This project also included something new for us – the whole project was completed while the homeowner’s were away on vacation.
